MARRIOTT BONVOY
“THE GREATEST SOUVENIR”
FLEUR FORTUNÉ // Iconoclast
“One’s destination is never a place, but rather a new way of looking at things.”
-Henry Miller
When Wieden + Kennedy asked us to partner on the global launch of Marriott Bonvoy’s ‘Travel Shapes You’ campaign - their first since being named Marriott’s creative platform partner in 2024 -our bags were packed.
The first release of the global campaign, “You are the Greatest Souvenir,” follows our protagonist Amy in series of kaleidoscopic sequences, her image reflected multiple times across a variety of outfits and settings—each representing a different Marriott property or destination. This approach wasn’t just about visual style; it was designed to show the breadth of her journey, and how each moment and location contributes to her overall experience. By placing her in a series of distinct environments—from city hotels to beachside resorts— the story unfolds and evolves as she moves through these spaces, all while keeping her emotionally centered and connected.
To bring this to life, Parliament and Iconoclast used a combination of practical mirrors and composited plates. Real mirrors were placed on set to guide the choreography and camera work, helping us lock in reflections that felt physically accurate and grounded in the space.
These mirrors gave us a natural starting point, while additional reflections were extended in post using carefully aligned plates. This allowed us to create the illusion of complex symmetry—Amy appearing multiple times in a single frame, each version in a different look and location—while maintaining the spatial integrity of each Marriott setting.
Each sequence was pre visualized using Unreal Engine carefully plotting out all measurements for the shoot - from mirror angles to lensing and dolly tracks. The goal was to make the transitions between locations feel seamless, like Amy is being reflected not just in mirrors, but across time and geography. The end result is a layered visual effect that supports the campaign’s message:
Every stay is part of the journey, and Marriott is there at each step—whether it's a big life moment or a quiet pause in between.
